For more than 30 years, SDA has been committed to their communities, first in Atlanta and now sometimes a bit farther afield. Based in the Old Fourth Ward since the founding, SDA is led by three partners: Greg Cross, Robyn Zurfluh, and Brian Whitfield. SDA team approaches each project with craft, enthusiasm, and a collective dedication to improving the urban condition and challenging the expected. SDA’s projects have received multiple design awards, recently including the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s 2018 Driehaus Award for the adaptation of Page Woodson School, and three projects selected by Atlanta’s Urban Design Commission for their “40 for 40” awards honoring Atlanta’s most significant projects over the last four decades. The firm was also awarded the 2018 AIA Atlanta Silver Medal for its significant contributions to architecture and communities.
