A friend posted a short video of Grand Central with a Christmas wreath over the south entrance, facing Park Avenue. Reminds us of what classic architecture can become – a cornerstone of memories for whole cities, and over the course of generations. Now, you might point out that the modern influence of J5 Midtown couldn’t be further than it is from the Beaux Arts façade of Grand Central in terms of style, and that’d be true. Yet we can’t help thinking that J5’s statement is so clear and distinctive that, in due time, it will be at the center of Christmas memories for many, many fans and lucky residents of the luxury condos in Atlanta, GA.
From the outside, we see the glow of Christmas trees placed near the enormous windows of the J5 condos, or even outside on the private garden balconies. Inside, the Smith Dahlia interior designs appear to anticipate what each resident wants and where they want it. The sparkling spirit of these holidays finds itself right at home in the finest Midtown Atlanta condos for sale here in the Garden District.
As we relish the restorative rhythm of winter’s shortest days and longest nights, we still venture out to enjoy Atlanta’s mild version of the season to the fullest. These opportunities begin with our own sunset terrace and rooftop garden, but they extend far beyond as well.
Our Green and Glittering Neighbor
In Piedmont Park just steps away, the Atlanta Botanical Garden presents the annual holiday light show, Garden Lights Holiday Nights. From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through January 15, you can use your timed-entry tickets to take in the wonder of the nature display, outlined for glittering celebration of the season, surprisingly near to the condos in Midtown Atlanta.
And from there we can join the exquisite Atlanta Beltline, envy of the world’s other great cities and likely the finest linear park anywhere. With its 25 miles of scenic and recreational trails, linking 45 Atlanta neighborhoods, the Beltline extends a big, open invitation for enjoying your outdoor exercise, at any time of year. Now, during the holidays, a walk along the Beltline feels a little like joining the journey of Santa’s sleigh, as you sample the varied expressions of holiday cheer and décor from neighborhood to neighborhood, for as far around our city as you would ever care to go.
To Ring-In the New
Because all four nights of the New Year’s concerts at the Fox Theatre by Widespread Panic, the local Athens rock band that became world-famous, are sold out, we have another idea. Indigo Girls, the virtuoso singer-songwriters who met in grade school in Decatur and captured the world’s attention with the magical blend of their voices will perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for two nights, December 30 and 31, at Symphony Hall, just a mile north of J5 and alongside our neighboring Piedmont Park. Sounds like a fine way to welcome 2022.
In the midst of the magic at holiday time, or any time, we’re glad to meet and get more specific about matching these Midtown opportunities to your new vision and new priorities for home. Just call us at 470-589-5055 or find out more at ownj5.com.
